Reading out Loud

Comrade Gepalta's Blog: Does the Bible really inspire violence like ...In order to translate indonesian to english properly, I strongly suggest that we let the students read aloud the text that they are suppose to be translating and ask them questions about what they have just read. Or they can read anything. If they can’t give you any decent answer you as their instructor should try and tell them the whole thought of the said article. Because one cause of error is when the student do not completely understand the though or the main idea of the thing that they will be converting to another language. They will just end up translating it word by word and then the non stop error begins. Definitely when you do not try to comprehend the sentence the outcome will be a complete joke or worse if you get offend some native speaker with the content of the article due to wrong word translation.

Spanish Language for Business

Business models have undergone many changes in recent years. In order to survive, many businesses have started to look further afield for orders. At the same time there is a constant need to drive down costs. As a result of this, more and more companies now resource components from overseas. Many now outsource non-manufacturing jobs such as I.T. to countries, where labour costs are lower.

English is viewed by many as ‘the’ global language. While this is true to a certain extent, in the case of Spanish speaking countries the reality is that you will have greater success in business if you have a knowledge of the local language. However, this does not mean that you have to be bilingual.

First and foremost, Spanish speakers really appreciate the efforts of someone, who tries to speak their language. This can really help to break down barriers and to ease the flow of conversation. With a little knowledge of local news, culture or sport it is so much easier to build a relationship with a customer, avoiding long silences. Language learning is easier and more enjoyable, when a benefit can be seen.

An ability to understand Spanish can be an invaluable asset – not only in being able to get around the country with ease, but also in making you alert in situations, in which you find yourself. Being able to glean information in this way can provide a substantial advantage.

Spanish Tutor in London

I am an experienced, motivated and reliable Spanish teacher with a degree in Spanish and a diploma in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I have a degree in Spanish from Glasgow University. In 2007 I attained a 60-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate which included a 20-hour ‘Specialist Module’ on English grammar. For the last two years I have been working as an English teacher in Latin America, gaining excellent practical experience while also improving my Spanish. I believe that my personal experience as a language student has contributed to my skills as a language instructor, teaching me the importance of patience and comprehension. In Argentina I worked for a private company that specialised in English instruction for professionals. I was employed principally by international communications companies, giving classes in Business, General and Conversational English. I was also given the opportunity to work as a translator, writing, correcting and translating presentations and documents for my clients. This position required excellent communication and organizational skills as I tried to make my classes dynamic, interesting and effective. To gain experience of teaching and living abroad, I took a paid teaching placement in this private language institute. I taught a wide variety of people, from children and teenagers to students and professionals; a challenging experience which enabled me to develop my motivational and leadership skills. Since returning to London I have been teaching both English and Spanish Spanish tutors London. I am fortunate that the two languages I teach happen to be the most popular.

My Amazing Adventure

When I went to study abroad in Costa Rica I thought all it was going to be was a type of trip where I would learn some things about the culture and maybe pick up the language if I was up to it. Eventually when I got there I got started with my learning process and actually was shocked with the amount of things which I learned. I was shocked because it completely exceeded my expectations and I guess this is something which I really loved about it. It truly was an amazing adventure to remember which I really will never forget and I would also recommend studying abroad for anyone who is interested. You see it is an experience like no other because before it I really thought that everyone everywhere lived exactly the same type of lives with maybe some minor differences but, I was wrong. There are so many types of people out there who lead amazing lives and I am happy that I got to learn a lot from my amazing adventure.

A Comfortable Stay in Spain While Studying

Going abroad to study entails a lot of preparation and that is what Spanish language schools in Spain know very well. They understand every students need that’s why Spanish courses in Spain are offered not only to teach international students but also to guide them all throughout their stay in the country. Whats exceptional in many of the schools offering Spanish courses is that their programs come with a complete package. They provide students with information on places for their accommodation. They will also gladly arrange the places for your stay throughout your program. These student residences are carefully selected for your safety and convenience. Most of these places also provide meals and other things you will need during your entire stay. You have the option to choose single or shared rooms. Some schools don’t only give information but also provide accommodations within or near their campuses. That helps international students a lot. For these schools, its important to make the stay of their students in Spain as comfortable as possible.

Audio or Multimedia for Learning Spanish?

When you go looking around at what is on the market by way of programs for learning Spanish, you may discover that there are both audio and multimedia programs available. There are really good ones in both categories. I prefer Rocket Spanish by way of audio and I like Fluenz Spanish as a multimedia program.

Recently it occurred to me that I think audio programs have a real advantage over the multimedia ones. I have not yet done the research to see if my theory has been proved correct, but here it is and you can see what you think.

With any kind of program that has a strong visual component, it is well known that we use our eyes predominantly. In other words, the visual is where we put our attention to a considerable degree. Well, I am not sure how good that is if you are most interested in learning conversational Spanish. You might be better off with a program that draws your attention to the heart of conversing, which is listening.
